I’m not sure if it’s too early to start this thread, but anyone on here planning on applying to Texas Tech’s Second Degree program in May?

I applied for Austin as my first choice and San Antonio as my second choice!!

I am unsure how many invites they sent out today. I would definitely email the program coordinator and confirm. I hope you hear back by next week.

I have not reached out to admissions recently. I wonder once all the interviews have been registered for will they send out a webinar with facts and what to expect next and let us know how many people they sent interview invites too. I know previous years they send out a webinar either before or after interviews.

Did anyone receive a Dallas invite? Starting to be a bit discouraged. One of my transcripts is still unchecked, was asked for proof of receipt for it on Friday from an email from admissions but it still is showing as unchecked ?

My stats are decent I think, I have experience for 2 years as a PCT and a 3.8 pre-req GPA, science GPA is a 3.5 and a 3.5 undergrad GPA. I did submit somewhat close to the deadline so I'm hoping this won't hold me back from an interview ?

@flows67I applied for Dallas and did not put a second choice (my husband and kids are here and we are pretty rooted in the area.) I was offered an invite but it didn’t indicate where I’m being considered for but assume it’s Dallas. Did anyone get word on which area they are being interviewed for?

Hey everyone! I also received an interview invite today. I only applied to the Dallas location. I’m super excited! For those who put a second choice, I wouldn’t worry about specific locations being assigned to the virtual interviews. I think they just specify a location when they send an offer of admission. That’s what I gathered from reading last year’s thread.

CONGRATS to all who have gotten an interview invite so far! Don't lose hope to those who haven't heard anything yet, I'm trying not to! To those who have gotten an invite already, did y'all get a transcript evaluation? Also random question, if a course is retaken twice, do they take the highest/ most recent letter grade earned for that course into the GPA? or do they count all attempts into the GPA?

I didn’t get a transcript evaluation and I got an interview invitation! Also, I believe they consider all attempts into the GPA from what I understand!

Hey! I got an invite and I never received a transcript eval. For the retakes, they calculate BOTH grades for cumulative GPA but the highest if it counts toward the science courses. The cumulative GPA is ALL courses ever taken in higher ED. And then the science is the 5 science courses. And thats per one of the program advisors.
