I’m not sure if it’s too early to start this thread, but anyone on here planning on applying to Texas Tech’s Second Degree program in May?
28 minutes ago, HannahRM said:Ohhhh, got it. Would imagine that is for the 12 applications they had open, not just ABSN. Let's hope!
I sure hope so I’m sure they’ll let us know soon. I bet they are so overwhelmed with all of the applications and I believe only a few people work on the applications which makes it even harder to complete. I pray we here soon maybe by the end of the week or next week!!
@HannahRM I bet you’re right. I sure hope that 800 Is for all applications, not just ASBN! I believe they said they accept something like 160 to ASBN across all locations... They mentioned in a webinar but I can’t remember the exact number. Does anyone else remember? I haven’t heard anything but am hoping we will get invitations this week or next if interviews are still supposed to be at the end of the month!
@allipalmer I'm sure they did get many for the ABSN, but I agree, highly doubt 800 just for that program. The last webinar many people asked about the total number of admitted students for ABSN. The host said she wasn't 100%, but believed it to be 167. So yes, right around 160 for all sites.
I got my transcript evaluation back earlier this week (finally!) and had to go back and forth a bit about a couple classes, so I do know they are diligently working on our applications. I am anxiously waiting to hear back about interviews - last years cohort heard back by now but I know working remotely and processing more applications this year may be slowing things down. ahh!
Hi everyone, I am super excited to apply next Spring 2021. I found this thread and have a few questions for those who have gone through this process. Thanks in advance!
I will be graduating Spring 2021 with a BA in Communications and have already met 3 of the prerequisites (I believe there are 5?), I’m currently enrolled for the Fall 2020 Pathophysiology at Tarrant County College (however it is a 2 credit level course, will this be accepted by TTUHSC? Anyone in the DFW area with a good recommendation that will be accepted by them?
TEAS isn’t required for the Spring 2021 application due to the current ongoing pandemic, they just require a CNA certification before the first day of class?
I have prior experience in a healthcare setting through Hospice care as CNA and a Emergency Department Scribe at Cook Children’s here in FTW, I believe this will help my application.
When is the first day of class? I know they require at least three of the five prerequisites during the application process, but you must have all of them completed by the first day of class, so just wondering when that would be?
Finally when are interviews usually held after the application cycle decision process is in the Summer or fall?
