Hello everyone!! I know it may be a little early to start this thread for the Fall-16 Admissions into the SON @ TXST. The application Deadline is quickly approaching and I thought I'd start this. I am super nervous because I always hear that getting into nursing school is a difficult process. This will be my first time applying into any nursing school.
My Current Stats :
Overall GPA : 3.67
Science GPA : 3.61
I am taking my TEAS V in Jan a week before the application deadline. I know that is pushing it kind of close.
If you've already had your fingerprints done, be on the lookout for your blue card. I was surprised at how quickly mine arrived! I had my prints done on 3/22 and the card was in my mailbox on 3/26. It was crazy fast.
I received the background check email today, but I cant wait until Friday to hear back from them. Ill be traveling to LA for the weekend; therefore, my trip will either be amazing or a little saddening.

Yay! I'm glad you got the background check e-mail! Not having it still makes me feel so on edge! Hoping La will be a celebratory trip!
I saw in a few of the other threads from 2014 or 2015 that when people got their admissions notifications they posted the decisions and the time they received the email on this thread, what do you say we try that too? :)

I was hoping tomorrow would be the day, but it looks like Friday. I know its just one more day......but it's ONE MORE DAY! Agh!
So that is interesting that they said the app turnouut this year was low @gavriel1400 Hope that helps us all out.....
I am now handling all of this financial aid stuff and trying to figure out my Fall and still have no clue if I'm even getting in. It's so weird! I still haven't gotten a background check email either. I heard some suggest that they started at the end of the alphabet with last names and my last name starts with a C. So hopefully mine is still on it's way...
I am so nervous, TXST is the only BSN Program I applied too... Every other school was a ADN program, which I dont mind but I just dont want multiple associate degrees and no bachelors. FRIDAY CANT GET HERE QUICK ENOUGH. I do have to say time flew by thoug from the day I turned in my app. If they had a low app turnout that is really good... I thought the previous years were already low as it was... So that gives me more hope.

No worries. They had initally said the end of March, so I think we were all counting on it being the 31st.
