Texas State University Fall 2016

Hello everyone!! I know it may be a little early to start this thread for the Fall-16 Admissions into the SON @ TXST. The application Deadline is quickly approaching and I thought I'd start this. I am super nervous because I always hear that getting into nursing school is a difficult process. This will be my first time applying into any nursing school.

My Current Stats :

Overall GPA : 3.67

Science GPA : 3.61

I am taking my TEAS V in Jan a week before the application deadline. I know that is pushing it kind of close.

I'm applying for Fall '16, as well. I need to knock out my essay, but that is all that is remaining for my application. This semester, I'm taking my last two prereqs (Chem and Phys). Good luck on your TEAS V!

I'm applying for fall as well, turning in my application packet tomorrow! I still have Physiology, Micro, History, and Algebra left over spring/summer.

My Stats:

Overall: 3.66

Science: 4.0

TEAS: 89% Composite

I took my TEAS today and my composite scores is a 83%

OK, fingers crossed, y'all! I just turned in my application today. Now starts the waiting game...

overall & science GPA- 4.0

TEAS V composite- 94%

Good luck in the coming semester(s) and hopefully, we'll be seeing each other in the fall!

I applied for Fall 2016 too. I am hoping I get in. My overall GPA could be better. I have credits from the last 15 years (some C's) from before I decided I wanted to become a nurse. So I am worried...but hoping for the best. My comp TEAS score was 83.3% and my science GPA is decent. Hoping for a good outcome ...fingers crossed! End of March can't come soon enough.....

I know it hasn't even been a few days and I already can't wait for the results!! I know when the semester starts I'll be busy and time will fly... Good luck to everyone!!

I can't believe that some of the requirements are so strict with core classes. After reviewing every thing a billion times...I realize I still need an English Lit class and Algebra is the only course they will accept (no Stats, not college math, etc). So I have 2 more classes to take in Summer!! Agh!

I can't believe we have 2 more months to wait! I'm going to lose my mind!

Did they contact you about that, or was it in filling out the app that you realized?

They contacted me about something I did wrong with my application... I applied for the wrong semester, but only because I was going to attend TXST for the Spring semester. I decided not to and thought it would be fine because I was already accepted. They made me reapply though.
