I am also planning to apply to the program for Fall 2015 at Texas State. I've already got my acceptance to the university. My overall GPA and Nursing GPA is 4.0. I also applied for the Spring 15 program at ACC, but due to only having 52 points, I do not think I'll get in.
I'm super nervous about the TEAS. I'm glad we have until Jan 15 to apply, because I've not even scheduled the TEAS yet. Have you taken yours? Any recommendations on study guides?
I have a ton of questions about the TX State program.
I have to take Phil, Lit, College Alg, Nutrition, and Bio 1406 (1330 at TX State) over the spring/summer. I took Stats because I had no idea that I was even interested in TX State, and this summer I looked into them and changed my mind. Unfortunately they don't require stats.. so boo.
Do you know if I can take Nutrition 1323 in place of 1322? There is only 1 1322 class offered and it's at Riverside, but there are a lot of the 1323 classes. That's the only thing stressing me out.
I'll def check out that guide! Thanks!
Hey ladies- I am currently a senior at Texas State in the nursing program. I can answer some of your questions.
Yes, you need to be accepted to Texas State first. It doesn't take much time at all- I think it was about 3 weeks for me. Get your application in ASAP.
Those who have not taken the TEAS yet- schedule it ASAP. The ATI site where you have to register sells tests that let you practice- these practice tests are exactly like the actual tests. I worked my way through several TEAS practice books and those tests were the only thing that really prepared me. They allow you to take each test twice and explained why you got it wrong. Pay attention to those rationales.
Good luck to you all! I will be checking in on this thread from time to time, so if you have more questions, I will do my best to answer them.

Hey everyone! There is no thread for fall 2015 yet (maybe it's a little early), so I decided to be the one to create it today. The application deadline is January 15. Right now, I am super nervous about the TEAS V. I plan on taking it sometime within the next month or so.
Current stats:
Overall GPA - 3.77
Science GPA 4.0
