I just got the email & I was accepted! Best of luck to everyone!

Congratulations! Do you mind sharing your stats such as GPA, teas, and where you took your prerequisites?

Thank you so much! & no I don't mind at all!

I'm a student at Texas A&M right now, and I will be graduating in May.

My science GPA is a 4.0 as of now (I am in my last science course right now).

My overall GPA is a 3.89 I believe.

I took A&P 1 & 2 at ACC a couple summers ago, I had 4 courses from high school through ACC, and two online courses through Lonestar, but everything else was taken at TAMU.

My stats for the TEAS: (only took it 1 time)

-overall: 92.7

-science: 89.4

-math: 96.9

-reading: 91.5

-english: 95.8

Did anyone else get placed on the alternate list??? I'm curious to how many people are waitlisted and what the likelihood of actually being accepted is...

Congrats to everyone who got accepted!!!

Hey y’all,

congratulations to everyone who got in! Y’all worked hard and earned it!

I’m so sad to say, I didn’t get accepted, or placed on the alternate list. I feel a bit silly for only having applied to this program, but it’s just a little setback! To anyone else who didn’t get it this time, stay positive and I wish you the best of luck on your journey!

My stats are as follows:

Science GPA- 4.0

Overall GPA- 3.89

TEAS:

Reading -83% (dropped the ball on that one)

Math- 93.8%

Science- 87.2%

English- 91.7%

I am a transfer applicant from ACC

Hey guys, it took me a second to process everything but I also did not get into this program. I was not placed on an alternate list either. Congratulations to everybody who got in❤️ and to those who didn’t if nursing is your dream never give up on it❤️ I’m also a transfer applicant from ACC. I applied to ACC’s program, A&M round rock and TAMCC. This was the first program I heard back from. Wishing the best for everyone❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hi guys! I received the acceptance email yesterday (March 29th). I haven't posted before, but I just wanted to leave my stats here in case they can help anyone in any way! I am currently finishing my bachelors degree in health and society at UT Austin with a minor in sociology and a certificate in children and health. This BSN would be a second degree for me.

Total TEAS: 93.3

Math: 96.9

Reading: 95.7

English: 91.7

Science: 89.4

Overall GPA: 3.69

Science GPA: 3.47 (got a C in chemistry freshman year that brought this down)

Related experience: volunteering and shadowing in high school, volunteering with a nurse educator at St. David's in college, being a healthy lifestyle intern at the Boys and Girls Clubs, and currently being a clinic technician at a pediatric therapy clinic.

I have my BLS Certification, but I can't remember if I included it on my application.

One of my recommendation letters came from a nurse educator at St. David's.

I am finishing up microbiology right now. Besides that, all of my prereqs are done.

I applied the day before the application deadline.

Congrats to everyone who got in!

Hey y'all! I've never posted on this thread, but I looked anxiously through the ones from past years this week to determine the likelihood that I would be accepted. I received my acceptance on March 29 (after a long week of anxiety!!), and decided to share my stats for any future applicants to the program.

I took my TEAS exam twice, and I can't say I was proud of my scores either time. I was going to transfer to a school that required the HESI, but I ultimately decided to stick to TXST and didn't have as much time to study for the TEAS as I would have liked. Both scores only varied by 2 points, so I'm only going to list the 2nd attempt.

Total TEAS: 85.3%
Reading: 89.4%
Math: 100%
Science: 72.3% (yikes)
English: 79.2% (yikes x2)

Texas State GPA: 3.94
Pre-Requisite GPA: 4.0
Transfer GPA: 3.0 (I took Anatomy I & II over the summer back home. Good idea to avoid Pesthy, but not my best idea to work full time while taking the courses.)
Overall GPA: 3.79

Congratulations to all that were accepted! To those of you who weren't, don't give up!!! I know it's easier said than done, but don't fall into the trap of believing that it'll be the end of the world if you aren't starting nursing school next year. Good luck to all of you in your future studies!!
