  1. Hey y’all, congratulations to everyone who got in! Y’all worked hard and earned it! I’m so sad to say, I didn’t get accepted, or placed on the alternate list. I feel a bit silly for only having applied to this program, but it’s just a little setback! To anyone else who didn’t get it this time, stay positive and I wish you the best of luck on your journey! My stats are as follows: Science GPA- 4.0 Overall GPA- 3.89 TEAS: Reading -83% (dropped the ball on that one) Math- 93.8% Science- 87.2% English- 91.7% I am a transfer applicant from ACC
  2. I’m so glad you don’t have to stress that blue card anymore! We’re so close now! Idk about y’all but the anticipation is so REAL for me!
  3. ??‍♀️ I noticed another thread right after posting this. Oops! I’m always a bit awkward when talking about myself. Otherwise, I feel decent about my personal statement. The waiting game is soo difficult, y’all!
  4. I also turned in my application on the 15th and got the email today that it has been received. To my understanding, background check requests are sent somewhat sporadically to everyone who meets qualifications.
  5. Hi all, I just wanted to start a general conversation thread for applicants to the St. David’s school of nursing program at Texas State for fall of 2019. If you applied to the program, please leave a comment! How was everyone’s experience during the process?!
  6. Thanks so much for your advice! I guess I need to work on that whole "well written" aspect too! I meant to mention that I am applying to a university in hopes of finishing my final pre-reqs before applying to the nursing program.
  7. I'm working on a few applications to transfer from Community College to a University. I still have about 2 semesters of pre-reqs to finish up so I am not able to apply directly to the nursing programs. I'm trying not to over think it BUT I am having the most difficult time deciding if I should write about my desire to be a nurse in the application essay, or something else as It's not an application to their nursing school just yet. Does anyone have any experience with a similar situation, or any advice?
  8. Hello everyone! I live in Texas and I'll be applying for nursing school in January. I've read a lot of different grading scales for various nursing programs online. They're pretty intimidating! I'm curious what your programs grading scales are and the name of the institution?
