I just wanted to start a thread for Those who have applied to Texas state SON for the fall of 2018 (:

If you look at the dates from last years thread, it starts picking up around this time, actually.

I'm just being impatient. Haha! I'm a transfer student, so I am interested to see if many other transfers are applying. I won't be good at waiting for them to make their decisions, either. April is so far away!

people are saying there were less applicants this year...don't know if its true but interesting nevertheless

I heard that they were having difficulty increasing interest year over year. I don't know if that was the case this year, though. Their notification on the BSN page regarding the number of applications may mean that the numbers are higher this year!

Does anyone have plans to further their education after completing the BSN program?

I plan on completing my masters in nursing after my BSN, hopefully if it all works out! What about you?

I wonder if we will receive a confirmation email when our application is processed. On their website it says allow two weeks to process, does that mean they'll send notice or does the notice not go out until they start our background checks?

Oh, you gotta join the Facebook group! We were talking about this. I emailed them and was told they will send all confirmations of receipt of applications by the end of the day on Friday.

I plan to work on my MSN after my BSN, also. Not sure what I would want to specialize in yet, but I am sure I will figure it our while we work through clinicals!

I'm feeling just as anxious as you are! I applied to 3 schools. I didn't realize it would drive me 3 times as nuts lol!
