i recieved an e-mail from the powers that be in my district instructing me to fill out the "texas public school student/staff ethnicity and race data questionnaire"; normally, i fill out these surveys without issue this time however, i am having an internal struggle. this survey asks if i am hispanic/latino; then asks for my race (for the record, i'm white); the last two questions are the ones that bother me, i am asked for my full name and employee number.
has anyone else been asked to do this? if so, what are your feelings about it? if not, why not? any opinion or input is welcome! :)

Why don't you ask you state school nurse consultant, Anita Wheeler? http://www.dshs.state.tx.us/schoolhealth/staff.shtm

I am in TX and have never been asked to fill out something like that. Very strange indeed. I agree to ask the SNC and see what is up.

I always say that I am Hispanic. Of course, no one else in my biological family is Hispanic, so that always throughs them off. But, I consider myself to be. Who's to say I'm wrong?
