Moving to San Antonio

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hi y'all,

So full disclosure I know there's like 70 I'm moving to SA posts, but I cant find any semi recent ones. Powers that be a year/time filter would be greatly appreciated.

Anyhoo, I've been an ortho nurse for 1.5 years and I am so done with ortho. Looking to move to San Antonio, to try something anything else. I was thinking maybe tele, neuro, or even L&D, anything not ortho really lol.

So I have all the basic questions. What are the hospitals like? What's the pay like? Is anyone even hiring? Where's a safe place to live in SA? If nothing else I would really appreciate some semi recent info on SA. I appreciate any info thank you.

I'm moving to New Braunfels/ San Antonio as well. I have been searching and searching for any information. I am technically a new grad and most of the hospitals require a nurse residency program. Are you wanting to work in a big hospital? There are two level 1 trauma centers, University and SAMMC which is the military hospital. All of the other hospitals are just as big with multiple campuses all over the area. You have Methodist, Baptist, Christus Santa Rosa, and the VA. All of them have multiple postings. It has been fairly easy for me to get in touch with recruiters by calling or emailing. Good luck!
