Skills- A

Clinical- A

Lecture- B (don't know for sure but I'm pretty positive and I am O-K-A-Y with that!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

And we also got to choose our teachers for next semester. We had to rank them and then we find out which one we get around the middle of June. I went for Children's and Methodist rotations but who knows if I will get it. At this point I am just happy to say I SURVIVED :D

Congrats. :balloons:

By the way, I also have some classmates who are not going to make it. :uhoh21:

What hospitals could you choose from?

Katie

Edit: I have seen that summer skills course flyer. $200 for 6 days is too high for me so I won't do it.

Katie, did you go to ECC to change your degree plan?

I went to NLC today, they said ECC had to do it. Then I went to the bookstore, but they didn't have any of the dosage books.

As I remember, El Centro mailed me a degree plan looking paper after orientation. I didn't go to El Centro.

You can buy the dosage book online. Are you going to buy the first semester book pack?

Have you been to the T building? Look around the rooms and read the board. There is always something interesting there. ;)

Thank you Katie :) It's really hard to say goodbye to my friends that didn't make it.

We chose from Methodist, Presby. Children's, Parkland, and Medical City. I chose Children's for pedi and Methodist for OB/Med Surg

Ok, I thought before the semester that you had written about going to get your degree plan changed. (Edit: I found the thread I was thinking about: https://allnurses.com/forums/1361357-post36.html...and the next few talk about it.

Yes, I'll buy the book pack, I'm sure. They told me they wouldn't get Fall's book for another 3 weeks or so. Does the pack come with the dosage calculations book come with it, or is it separate? I've seen it online, but knew I was going up there & wanted to save shipping $. :uhoh3: I don't want to end up with 2 dosage calculations books.

I haven't been in the T-Building since before became the nursing building.

The dosage book was not in my book pack. I bought it online from amazon and they shipped it free.

At my orientation there was a man talking about the books. Do you want to buy the books ASAP or wait until orientation?

Katie

Edit: Half Price Books was a great idea. I have found a NCLEX test book and a James study guide for $10 each. :)

I'm not sure when I'll get the books. I don't even have a book list, so I'm not sure what I'll need.

Is this the correct dosage book? i.e., the correct edition/year....the paperwork doesn't give an ISBN number, and amazon doesn't give a year.

Yes, I use this book. It was published in 2000. I am not sure if there is a more recent one.

Hmmmm......On the math testing information packet, it says 6th edition, but it has 2002. So, I guess I better wait.

I checked my book. It says: published in 1996 and 2000. Revised in 2002. Sixth edition. ISBN:0939287129 :)

So, I have finished the final test. It was hard and I can only hope to keep my B. :uhoh21:

Our clinicals are Children's, Charlton, Medical City, Methodist, Parkland.

I have no idea what to choose. I have to look up the locations first.

Children's, Medical City and Parkland are downtown, aren't they?

Charlton is south and Methodist is in Fort Worth. Am I right?

Katie

Childrens and Parkland are off of Motor and I-35E

Medical City is on the NE side of town at I-75 and Forest Ln.

Methodist is near I-30 and Beckley in Dallas
