2016 parkland critical care trauma nurse internship

U.S.A. Texas

Unlike past years this years internship doesn't have a thread I noticed so I wanted to make one for people who were getting interviews and such for the internship to communicate. Hopefully this helps facilitate any questions people may have too.

Did you have to go in person to pick up a packet? Or did they email you the initial application?

I'm from Chicago so they emailed me the application

I'm planning to apply and have been waiting for an application to go up! Did not realize you have to email them!

Think it has to be in by March 15th

There is 9 essay questions to fill out with no more than 200 words each

Where did you find an email address? It's only showing a mailing address under contact us in the internship section on their site :(

Email [email protected] stating your interest in the internship and she sends you an application. I would recommend completing it quickly as they've already started extending invitations to interview.

yup that's correct I turned mine in the middle of January and they got back to me this past Monday...plus wanna get that email in because Laura seems pretty busy because there was a couple times it took a week or more for correspondence

I am finishing the program now. I interviewed in Mid March and we were notified about job offers around April 9th. Time frames may vary slightly, but just to give ya'll an idea of when to expect to hear from them. There are people from all over the country that apply and come to interview for this program. I believe they usually interview between 50-70 people and will end up picking around 18 people. Hope that helps!

Thats awesome and hope to be accepted myself. Is there any advice or tips you can give on being prepared for the interview such as types of questions they ask or what they are looking for in a person that they want to accept....I interview next WED on the 9th?

Specializes in CVICU.
