Hi everyone,
I am halfway through TPAPN, the 3 year Texas nurse recovery program. I may need to move to New York for family reasons. Does anyone know anything about the New York State recovery program?

If you're current then stay in Texas, you MAY have to start all over again. I know someone from Oklahoma that moved to Texas who 2 years into his deal and current and has to do 3 whole years again. Texas BON refused to accept any of the oklahoma testing because they didnt test for 1 drug/substance, i forgot which one. On top that, he had to wait for 6 months for his licence to be active in Texas . All in all he will do 5+ years. He currently has no job.

New York board of Professions is super easy to deal with, if not the easiest that I know of so far. I did not even have to do program, just quarterly "meetings: (email) with my assigned person from the board. They do have a program and from my understanding 3 years is the most you get. Everyone there was helpful every time I had a question. Good luck.
