Hey congrats on graduating from TPAPN!! I am about to start. What do you mean by they allow you to participate in that program while living in another state?? My probation orders say I have to work for one year in Texas and do all the drug screens for as long as they determine, however I really do not want to move my daughter out of New York since she loves her school and her classmates, I was hoping I could finish my year of work in Texas and return to NY to be with my daughter, maybe I can do the drug screens from NY?
  2. Hello, I am super excited that my RN license in Texas is active, however it is on PROBATION status. What are my chances of getting a job in El Paso area?? Is there any place that is TPAPN friendly? Thanks!
  3. Hello, I am a RN living in Pennsylvania but licensed in a different state. My commute is VERY long and this whole time I have been refusing to apply for a license in PA because I had a drug related issue with a license from another state in the past. I completed a program, but I am SURE I will be asked to enroll in PNAP if I do apply for licensure in this state. I don't have a problem with the drug screens. My question is, will I be able to work as a RN in another state while I am participating in PNAP? Also, what is the average time required? 3 years? 5 years? Thank you!
  4. New York board of Professions is super easy to deal with, if not the easiest that I know of so far. I did not even have to do program, just quarterly "meetings: (email) with my assigned person from the board. They do have a program and from my understanding 3 years is the most you get. Everyone there was helpful every time I had a question. Good luck.
  5. I agree 100%... Were you in RAMP by any chance?? Because it sounds like that program. One of my best friends even committed suicide, this is how miserable they made us. It was awful! It got to the point when we had to check in AA meetings by using our GPS from our phones. I hates that program, NOTHING positive came out of there for me. I had never had a DUI, never took drugs from work, never showed up to work impaired, never even been hungover. I feel that their one size fits all approach was awful.
  6. I am applying for licensure in Texas from Pennsylvania, they sent me a link to Identogo.

I am wondering the same, I need to get a hold of this attorney ASAP as I need to make serious life decisions. Whether to stay in the area or move away. Thank you!
  9. As long as you complete the program and there are no disciplinary actions on your license, you should be fine to pick up and move to another state.
