Now that I've completed my contract, what's next?
Once I completed my program, I would disclose. I would answer the question yes, but I would state that I never had any formal discipline, I chose to enter the VRP. The way these questions are worded on applications it seems dishonest not to. It is an alternative to discipline even if it is informal. Since I have completed my program I have had multiple interviews and state licensures and it has never been an issue, other than answering "yes" flags for a review in most instances, and approvals for licenses can take longer, But I have gotten every license and job I have applied for since completing my program.

Moving to new state
Each state has its own requirements but I really don't think you will have any problem. I now licensed in multiple states (7) as RN and NP. I have never had any problems getting licensure. Some states have different requirements (Florida wanted a letter from a health care provider or counselor) and sometimes there was a delay getting a license as it had to be reviewed I think you'll be fine. You can always apply to be sure before you commit to a job or move. Good luck to you!

Moving to new state
Actually I completed and have had no issues at all with licensure or credentialing, although I have had to provide explanations and documentation of events.

Adding second CRNP specialty in Pennsylvania
Thank you so much for the updates. I completed my courses and obtained my second certification but I never licensed it. Would you know if there is a deadline to obtain licensure? Thank you so much for the info.

Advance Practice online education help!
I completed my CRNP locally at a brick and mortar university, mostly because it is so difficult to find clinical preceptors. As the previous poster stated, you could do an RN to MSN program, and this may lessened the required credits you are required. I am not sure how those credit hours are billed but if you are being billed BSN credits at MSN rates because you are in a “masters program I would think it would almost be simpler to complete your BSN online. Good luck to you!
