I'm just gonna get straight to the point. Has anyone of my fellow Texas nurses failed a drug screen for kratom. It's not mentioned anywhere on my board orders and I'm freaking out because I thought it was a "focus supplement" I got lazy and did not read the label.

Your consent order most likely says no mood altering substances.. kratom is sold at vape shops and smoke shops.. that's mood altering.. I mean we can't even take Benadryl or NyQuil of course we can't take kratom.

I'm lucky because I know what Kratom is but I can see how it can be confusing. The powers that be definitely should tell us exactly what we can't take. They are either lazy or want us to get more time..

No mood altering substances is so vague. Benadryl? Really? They need to be more specific

I mean when your in monitoring it says on consent to make sure u don't use substances that not allowed and it's also usually in all the pages of consent order.. you have to be proactive with serious situation to make sure you don't take anything your not suppose to.. so no I didn't just go read the BON page but when it came to taking things there is definitely a form that list every thing u can't take. How else will u know if u don't go find out on your own.. especially if its vague

They won't that's why I just have to go on the page.. the post originator is from Texas and it has a list on the monitoring programs page and on their portal. It would be wise to go on there now so it does not happen again.. u don't want any added time!
