Texas LVN unable to renew license over 90 days

Nurses LPN/LVN

Published

This is my first time here and I need help/advice asap.

I have not worked in 3 years due to my Husband diagnosed

With Multiple Myeloma Stage 4. He also is Type 1 Diabetic and

Has required my care 24/7. Due to financial hardship I could

not renew my LVN license in May 2010. I need to go back to

work and I really miss Nursing. However I cannot afford all

of the fees involved to have my License reinstated and obtain

CEU's required. My question is could I apply for a Medical Assistant

Position perhaps in an office until I can afford to have my License

reinstated. Which would be with my first pay check!!! I am 50yrs

Old. I have been an LVN since 1991. Nursing is who I am anyone

that can help with any advice would be greatly appreciated.
