Texas Health Versant July 2020

Updated:   Published

I applied for THR Versant for July 2020 on November 31st, 2019. I had interviews on January 7th. They said we would be hearing back in about a week, and the anticipation is killing me. Has anyone heard back/gotten an offer/gotten a decline?

Good luck to anyone that applied.

Girl, I feel you! I had a few other interviews at other hospitals before this offer. It was the most discouraging thing ever! But now we get to celebrate because we have a job! ?

Also--has anyone heard from Hanah Schelde or anyone else post-offer yet? I was told I would hear from her in a few days after I had accepted my offer (5/9) but I haven't heard back yet. I wasn't sure if they're just busy with everything going on or if I had been forgotten! Hehe.

When I got the phone call with my order the recruiter told me that the onboarding navigator will contact me about 60 days out from the start date (in May). No point in her contacting us this far out, just get your on boarding stuff done!

Check your taleo/job account. There may be tasks there for you to complete that include emails from your Onboarding Coordinator. Check the email you used for that website.

I finished all of the tasks, I was just confused since the offer letter said she'd contact me in three days! But as long as she hasn't contacted anyone else then I think I'll be okay! Thanks.

Weird! My recruiter said the same thing that my offer letter said (3 days). But that makes sense as to why she hasn't reached out yet. Thanks!

I applied for Trauma ICU on March 9th. My application went under review on March 16th and they sent me a preference form on that day. The date updated again on the 17th, but I haven't heard anything else from them. Anyone else in this situation? Or can anyone shed light on whether them sending the preference form might mean I'll be chosen to interview?

So the preference form sends your resume and application to those departments. Then they review and decide to interview, I think it took a month before I heard if I was going to interview (but this was when the initial application opened after Thanksgiving).

Oh I see. That makes sense. Thank you so much for responding ?

To add to what CulinaryPanda said--the manager I interviewed with told me that whatever units you rate on the preference form is used to compare with their own ratings. For example, if they interviewed ten people, they would rate those ten people in order and then the recruiter would use it to compare to what your preference form listed.

I applied later on in February and it took a little less than a week for me to receive a call from one of the hospitals I applied at after I completed the assessment they sent me. It took about a month for the other positions I applied to but didn't receive an interview to send me a rejection letter. I hope this helps!

Yes it helps. Thank you! I do have a question for you though. When you applied back in February did you apply to a specific floor or was it like the November application where you applied to the hospital in general? I applied specifically to ER in late February and was rejected without them even sending a preference form. And then I applied specifically to Trauma ICU and it's now in review and they sent the preference from. So that has given me some hope because my last app didn't get the preference form. I'm just wondering if I'm getting my hopes up since I haven't heard back. I also wonder why they open specific residencies again ? it can't be lack of applicants. I'm sure they have plenty.

No prob! I applied to specific floors. I was kinda bummed out when I saw that they had posted the Trauma ICU listing right after I had already accepted an offer! I applied to four positions in February. Three for the Fort Worth location and one for the Southwest location. I only heard back from Southwest for an interview after I had completed my preference form and assessment. I think they open specific residencies up if someone who had originally accepted the offer ends up rejecting it later on... or maybe they found more room in their budget! I hope you hear back from them though! Fingers crossed!
