Texas Health Resources Graduate Nurse Residency applications opened yesterday for the Spring ‘22 cohort so I wanted to start a new thread. Anyone apply yet and for what units?

BUMC is such a good hospital! Do you know if they have any other positions open for that location or any other baylor location? My ideal hospital was Baylor but I think it’s out of the picture.

I honestly have no clue!! I know they're hiring A LOT in their ICU's and med surg. Women's health is scarce. I think ICUs are looking because of covid. I know Medical City's are still looking for some people in Womens services!

Which medical city location? Their recruiters kinda stopped replying to emails. I wanted to work at Medical City Children’s NICU but I think that’s pretty much out of the picture too

I think they said to email the recruiters for jobs. I'm not too sure which locations though! My friend originally hadn't heard back from meical city's CVICU at children's and she reached out like end of october to see if they were still looking and she got an interview. So sometimes as more time passes things change!

Don’t give up guys. Everything still seems to be super competitive regarding residencies. I did not get an offer for CVICU but it’s all good. We will end where we need to be! Unless I get UTSW I think I am going to take the ER position at Texas health alliance so if any of you guys get there let me know. Would love to get to know some other people. 
I have an offer at medical city ICU but I’ve heard more bad than good honestly.

I work for Baylor and their positions on women’s services are definitely limited. However, I’m only interested in ICU and have interviews next week. Interviews have already started for some of the locations. There should be more interviews to come.

I just talked to a recruiter and she told me tomorrow’s expo for Baylor is not a hiring event, it’s just an informational session. Is that true?

For anyone whos already interviewed and gotten an offer from THR what was the timeframe?

Keep reaching out! There is always going to be new grads who decline offers and accept elsewhere.

True. It’s not a hiring event. More of learning about the residency and how many spots are open in certain specialties. I’ve heard that a few of the hiring managers choose some of their candidates to interview later from there.

My friend got a job offer within 2 days. I just interviewed on Wednesday and waiting to hear back.
