Texas Health Nurse Residency Summer 2021

Hello, 

Creating this thread for those who applied to the Texas Health Resources Nurse Residency this upcoming Summer (July) 2021. Applications opened this Thursday (2/11). Good luck to us all!

Oh okay, I haven't even received a graduate screening yet. Hopefully that doesn't mean I'm already out of the running. Do you mind if I ask what units you applied to?

I applied to the Fort Worth's location CVICU, Trauma ICU, and Neuro ICU. I also applied to Plano's Acute Care ICU. I am also an in talent hire, so it may also be because of that.

I applied to almost everything that was open. I missed applying to the departments that I really wanted because I didn't have power to submit my applications.

Same here with no power! It's frustrating that it was out of my control. I am not sure there are any other departments at this point I feel passionate about.

I know it sucks. However I've been told again and again that its all about getting your foot in the door. So I went ahead and applied to their remaining jobs that didn't scare me away (LOL). Hopefully you've applied to other hospitals and all of your eggs aren't in one basket.
