Texas Govt Question

Published

I dragged myself kicking and screaming through the week 1 materials and review questions.

Did you read the book? Did you feel it was imperative to read for the sake of the quiz? I'm aiming for an A but getting trough this material literally drove me to drink the other night.

Thanks!

I am also taking this class. I made it through the online content but I am having a hard time getting through the textbook as well. In fact, I am drinking now. Ha! I will be watching this thread.

I live in California so I cannot relate at all to the material. At least, if you live in Texas, you can relate and recognize much of the history. It is horrifically boring to me.

I live in Massachusetts. So, not only does the material not relate, but is pretty much the entire opposite of how things are done in my liberal, Yankee state!

I found out that I should have done the reading. Well, skimmed. I did well but would have done better had I not had to guess on the few book questions. Next week there is even more material. Yikes!

At least the project seems super super simple.

How extensively should I be taking notes on the book reading is what I want to know. I have to take notes when I'm not interested in the material. But it's like pulling teeth.

Glad you did well!

I would say reading the book without notes is fine. From what I recall, the book questions were pretty general. I can't muster the strength to take notes on that too!

Oh good. I don't think I can take any more notes on this terrible material.

This textbook is atrocious. I made it 10 pages in.

I never read unless it was something I was confused about. When I took it the professor provided very detailed notes and I just printed them out and read them. I got an A and I did not put a ton of effort into it. There was some stuff on the quizzes not in the notes but not enough to make me spend 5,000 hours reading. Good Luck!

The first test was super easy. I'm not worried anymore. Haha.

Me either. After research this is like a very boring piece of cake.

Would you recommend taking this course concurrently with a nursing course?
