Hi! I haven't noticed a thread made for this year, but I know I am not alone in applying to CRNA school, figured a way for everyone to share updates and stats! Super scary/exciting applying this year but I wish everyone the best!
My stats:
GPA 3.70, GRE 307 4.5 writing, CCRN, 2 years now as a CVICU RN. I have taken organic chemistry 1 in the fall.
How did you all receive your admission decision/acceptance from UT? Has anyone who interviewed with UT not heard back with an admission decision yet? I have not heard anything and the application website still says "application under review." Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted!

The program director called me on Tuesday, then on Wednesday I got an email. My portal changed to “you have been accepted!” And gave me the option to accept or decline
Hi all,
I'm new to the thread. Congrats to everyone who has been accepted!!
I'm looking for some input as to how I may better my application for next year.
I recently interviewed with UT (second year in a row to interview) and Baylor. However, I was denied by both. Overall, I felt the UT interview was solid, although very short. The Baylor interview was a bit rocky d/t some detailed topics I wasn't confident with. However, overall I felt very prepared and confident.
Nursing GPA- 3.29, Science GPA 3.31, GRE- 306, Writing- 4.0.
It's unclear to me what will have the most impact on bettering my chances next year. Any ideas? Maybe retake Organic Chem? Graduate patho course? retake GRE?

I would say what I feel helped me the most is getting my CMC and my TCRN (which is specific to trauma). Also adding whatever you can such as CRRT & ECMO.
I would say O Chem 2 or Biochem would help your application, especially if you already had organic chem and made a B or better.
Were you able to answer pretty much all the clinical questions right?

I don't believe there is a facebook group yet for us to network so I created one (BCM DNP 2021). It's a private group but reach out to me on here if you will also be part of the upcoming class! I look forward to meeting you all soon!
I also got in! I searched BCM DNP 2021 on FB and only a "BCM DNP 2023" popped up. Is this the correct group?

Hey just sent a request to join the group. Pumped to meet everybody!
It was a one-on-one interview with a faculty member. Lasted a little over an hour. He didn’t ask any clinical questions. I have been working COVID ICU since March, so we talked about that, but no “stump-the-chump” clinical questions. At the end of it, he offered me a spot and told me I got my first choice for clinical sites (JPS). I didn’t expect to get offered during my interview, but I was elated. Still haven’t celebrated though. I’ve been working since I found out. Gonna have a couple of beers tonight.
