Texas Children's Nurse Residency Summer 2021

Hi guys! I wanted to start this thread for the upcoming residency program at Texas Children's. Has anyone heard anything about when the application will open?

I was wondering if they have sent rejections or will do so, that way those waiting can move on

I know people have gotten PICU. Not sure if they’re still sending out offers though.

Trying to get ahold of TCH is feeling quite impossible. I emailed GNResidency on two separate occasions with no response. I hope you have better luck than me.

Anyone accepted an OR position?

I called & the recruiter said that unfortunately I wasn’t selected for a position, but my status still says under review, which might take some time to change. For those waiting maybe try calling :)!

Hello, I'm a little late here! Does anyone know when the next application will open and where to find it? For Summer 2021, I didn't see it posted on the hospitals website and I kept checking religiously.. I also tried to email and call the recruiter but had no luck.

The Summer 2021 residency application has already closed and they have started the hiring process. I believe their next residency cohort starts in the fall

For those who got a residency position at children's, how competitive is their program to get into?

What do they make their selection on?  interview, GPA, ??

I know this has probably been posted already, but does anyone know the shift differentials? Also, is there a differential for OR on-call shifts?
