Texas Children's Nurse Residency Summer 2016

Published

Hi, just wanted to start a thread for anyone who applied to TCH for the residency program. Please share any info you know about the upcoming program!

I didn't have much pharm either for what it's worth. The couple I did have were common sense things.

Has anyone heard from new hire services regarding scheduling the physical or anything like that?

Nope! She said 30 days out so I'm guessing at the end of this month we will!

I re-read her last email and it had said that they would be reaching out to get them scheduled so I was just curious if anyone had heard. I'm getting antsy and ready to start.

HI!!

I'll be graduating in December and hoping to get more information about the GN program. I have seen a few people say they have had under the 3.5, but I was wondering if that was just special cases or if I have a chance. Do you mind giving me more information about that and giving me any information you can to help me get a leg up in getting into the program. Working at TCH is my DREAM! I appreciate any help and advice.

For anyone who got into the TCH nurse residency, what is the contract agreement with being accepted? Do you have to sign on to work with them a certain amount of time after completing the residency?? I can't find that information online anywhere.

Thank you!

Hi Robin! I am in the nurse residency program July cohort at TCH! There is no contract you have to sign when you get hired on. TCH is an at will company which means you can leave at anytime and they reserve the right to let you go at anytime. Hope this helps!

I know this is an old thread. But I was wondering if anyone who was accepted and is currently in the TX children's residency program could tell me a little about it/ how you like it.

I just got accepted!! I'm super excited but really nervous

Did you get accepted to the October residency?

Did you get accepted to the October residency?
Are you graduating in December? I am and I'm wondering if they open up a new grad residency for Spring 2017.
