Texas A&M Spring 2017 Applicants

Published

Just thought I'd create a board where applicants for TAMU could discuss the application process and start to see when acceptances and rejections start rolling out.

Some information to include when introducing yourself or posting about your application could include:

  • Semester and program applying for
  • Internal or external (transfer) applicant
  • Previous degrees
  • Other schools applying to
  • GPAs (Overall, science, prereq)
  • HESI Scores
  • Application status/communications from TAMU

My last name starts with P!

I got an email too, and it was a rejection letter! I'm a little upset, but they included this message which gives me a bit of hope:

"At this time, we cannot offer you admission into our program; however, we would like to place you on a waiting list for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program as we consider you a competitive candidate. You have been identified among only a small, select number of outstanding applicants for this opportunity."

Do they tell this to every applicant they reject? Or did they only tell that to a few people?

I think they only waitlist a few people! They have few seats to begin with so they probably don't waitlist more than like 10 people.

uh oh that's not good news for me if I haven't gotten a response and they're wait listing people. I did look at last years and several wait listed people seem to get in.

I am going to call the CON later and ask if they have any statistics regarding waitlisted people. Hopefully they don't totally crush the small amount of hope I have left :)

Anyone hear from college station or just round rock?

I just received an email saying that I was waitlisted for the 2nd degree program in Round Rock.

Hello! I applied for the second-degree BSN for Round Rock. I randomly decided to log into my AIS portal thing and I saw a link that said "View My Decision". I was able to view an admissions decision letter on my computer even though it said the letter was sent to my home address today (Oct 26). Unfortunately I was not accepted. I just wanted to let y'all know in case y'all wanted to check!

Dancer24ish, I received a decision from College Station, but it was for the traditional program. That could mean that maybe they're working on getting 2nd degree decisions out for CStat now since they just finished up with traditional decisions!
