Just thought I'd create a board where applicants for TAMU could discuss the application process and start to see when acceptances and rejections start rolling out.
Some information to include when introducing yourself or posting about your application could include:
I'm an internal applicant for the traditional BSN and I've received the email from TAMUCON confirming they have all the documents and such. I haven't gotten anything else yet, not even the background check. Anyone else in the same boat? or know when we should expect to hear from them again?
I would check with NursingCAS to see if your app was verified through them. I had an issue where they had a technical glitch that caused a delay in mine. Once your app is verified the school should send you an email saying they have it all.

Aggienurse18, I'm also an internal applicant and I actually contacted NursingCAS about that because I also read in the application confirmation email that decisions would be sent through CAS. They told me that the only way a school could inform a student of acceptance or rejection would be to send an email to whichever address you registered with when you made your application. There's no way to see the decision by logging in to NursingCAS.
I also got the fingerprint email. Does anyone feel like that indicates that those who got the email more than likely made it past the first round or are at least more likely to get accepted? I feel like the University would not want to spend money on all the applicants doing background checks to only admit 24 in the end.
As much as I wish that email meant we are more likely to get accepted, I believe everyone who applied received that email. I also received a similar email from UTMB discussing the background check and even though I have been admitted there already, the email explained that it was being sent to anyone at all who applied because the background check is required for attending any nursing school in Texas and it can take 2-3 months to complete.
Is there anyone who didn't receive an email about the required background check?

My understanding is that official transcripts only had to be submitted to nursingCAS
