Texas A&M Corpus Christi Spring 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey Everyone!! I plan on applying to TAMUCC for spring 2018 eline. I haven't seen any threads about spring 2018 so I thought that I would start.

My stats

Overall GPA 3.7

Science GPA 3.5

I plan to take the Hesi in may.

I do have a few questions. Is foreign language required to apply? Can you take patho and pharm at another four year university or do you have to take it at TAMUCC. If there is anyone currently in the program I would love to get your insight on the program.

I've applied to the same schools. I got three rejections from UTH which really sucks. With uta , I hate that you have to take the under classes which is patho, pharm and intro into nursing but not guaranteed to get accepted. I am 33 with 3 children and would love to get into nursing school. I am really looking for an online program where it's more convenient for me and my family. My GPA is 3.4 and my total hesi is 86.7. I applied with tamucc but they want me to retake the hesi since I didn't take all the sections they are requesting. I'm really stressed out because every school have their own requirements and is very over whelming.

Hello future RNs,

I am truly excited to see a post in regards to the BSN program for TAMUCC. I planned on applying for their accelerated program, but just recently learned that there is an e-line program as well. Could someone explain the difference?! I know that e-line is of course online, but is the accelerated program not? A little about me, I am a Registered Respiratory Therapist with an Associate of Applied Science in Respiratory Care & a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care. I love the field, but at this point in my life I want more growth & more opportunities to come my way. I'm ready for Nursing school. I am 34 years young, married, & the mother of 3. I have not taken the HESI, but I do plan on very soon. I would love to connect with you all & keep in touch. Maybe we can help one another through this. As for my stats, I made a few crazy choices when I 1st started college back in 2002, so I have been working really hard to bring that GPA up. I recently graduated Cum Laude with a 3.69. My last 60 hours of college coursework is a 3.3. I really need to work on my GPA more. I'll be applying to TAMUCC, UTA, & UTH

I'm sooooo stressed out!!! AP has consumed me this summer. I wanted to take the Hesi over but i haven't really been studying due to AP. I don't want to risk making a lower score on the hesi since I haven't been studying. What do you guys think of my chances are. I dont know what to do. Here is my stats:

GPA 3.7

Science GPA 3.77 (if i get an A in this class. I currently have a 94)

Hesi composite 75

Hesi reading 84

Hesi critical thinking 840

Should i just wait to apply?

I think you'll be fine and should at least try!

Hi everyone, i also applied for TAMUCC BSN program, except im applying to the Traditional Route, E-line isnt really for me, i have to be there in person learning and hearing and seeing, lol

Im going to make a different forum for the ones who are doing the tradional route as well, but my stats for applying are

Overall 3.4

Science 3.75

Hesi 83

Reading 97

CT 870

my advisor said they were competitve scores so we will see.

Im taking pharm in the fall in class so if anything is taking it, we can meet up and study bc from what i hear, that class is hard! but we better get used to use to it lol

Did you take the chemistry portion of the Hesi

Yes, You have to take all of the science portions except physics.

Who is registered to take Pharm and Patho this fall at TAMUCC? I've applied for the Spring 2018 E-Line BSN track.

I'm taking pharm I took patho last fall

Was it at TAMUCC? I am registered for both .. it may be a lil too much but will see.

Yes both at tamucc. I'm taking pharm this semester in class with McClure

I saw someone post recently that they took the chemistry portion of the HESI. Was this needed to apply to TAMUCC's BSN program? Also, are pharmacology and pathophysiology required before entry if accepted? Can those be taken at a community college or are most taking through TAMUCC online?
