Howdy,

Okay, I need help. Anybody have great study ideas for nclex and the gre? What is the best way to go about it? Help!!!!

I used NCLEX books and bought a program at Barnes & Noble. I passed w/ no problem, only took 76 questions. I also had previously taken the NLN exam which was a requirement my senior year. This test predicted I had a 98% chance of passing my boards.

Hope this helps!

Are you taking rn or pn cause I just tok pn yesterday and it was so hard, nothing like the Saunders nclex book questions or ati test that the school gave. I would recommend finding a book with the new format questions. I guess they have changed the test recently. Good luck!

How do you think it was different than ATI? Do you know yet if you passed? I should be taking the NCLEX-PN in about 1-2 months. I will take the comprehensive ATI on Monday, but got an 85% on the practice one and we were told that a 60 or better means you should be successful on NCLEX.

Yes I just found out today that I passed. The questions on the ATI test and saunders were so easy compared to the nclex. I never anticipated the nclex being so hard. The only thing I can think of is that I heard that when you get one question right it gives you a more difficult one and if you get it wrong it gives an easier one and I just kept getting them right so they got more and more difficult. I dont know how true that is. My friend took the nclex on the same day I did and she felt the same way - that no matter how much we would have studied from saunders or ati it wouldnt have helped the way that the questions were sat up. I dont want to make you nervous ,Im sure you will do fine , esp. since you made an 85% on practice, I made a 64% on my first practice comp. Good luck to ya.

I think you should buy or borrow a Kaplan. I just grad. on 12/06. I take my NCLEX on Jan 31, 07. I feel fine, I 've read the entire Kaplan book, and I 'm using Saunders( the new orange book) to hit certain topics. I'm using the RN Kaplan book just because they are great at teaching you how to answer the questions. GOOD LUCK
