i just booked my test date for transitions 2/10. i just started studying this week, not sure if that is enough time. i'll do the practice test the weekend before the exam. how many questions are on the practice tests? this is my first exam so i'm nervous about the whole thing!

Hi,

There are 100 questions on all of the practice exams, and you get 2 practice exams for each nursing theory exam you purchase.

I thought they were 60.00 a piece? Thanks for the quick reply! How did you find the exam? The material is soooo boring it's tough to absorb.

If you study diligently, you should have enough time. You might want to do what some people do. Take form A of the test at the beginning of your study to see where you stand, then Form B at the end to see if you are ready. If you totally feel out of it after about a month of study and both practice tests, you might want to consider rescheduling the test. But don't get into the bad habit of rescheduling. After you get through this one you will see whether a month is long enough or whether you want to schedule the next one after three weeks or five. Good luck.

Thanks Cali, Don't you have to pay 60.00 per practice test? Not too sure how they work. I'm going to study on a daily basis until the week before the exam then see where I stand after the practice test. On average how long did you....and anyone else here study for exams?? I think I may reschedulke for the end of Feb. Time flies!! I might stick to the 8 week plan for each exam. I just got my material for Health safety and it's a TON of info. Most is review, but still, lots to refresh upon!!

I am taking this test on Jan 23, so my total study time is about 4 weeks. It is just a ton of memorization

I do feel more confident though after reviewing the studyguide 101 and doing the practice exams. Good Luck

how did you do practice exams? online? I Dl SG101, I will chekcd out the practice tests. It just seems like a lot of redundant info to study. Lots of laws and people to memorize. Good luck to you!!

The first time I took it I had read through the information 1 time and make a 78. I will take the 2nd part probably Wednesday of next week. I will have a major brain dump after this test....some of it seems so pointless to know for future reference. Good Luck to you as well!

Cali--what is form A and form B?? When you book the EC practice test (the one that cost 60.00) can you take it anytime? and for as many times as you need to?

Form A and Form B are the two practice exams that you get for the fee (I think it's $65 now). You can take them any time, but they have to be done in one sitting, and I think the time limit is two hours. You can only take them once, but may review them as many times as you like within the access period. I think students used to have 120 days after purchasing the practice tests to take them, but that time period may have shortened. (Sorry, I haven't taken one since 2007!) You can only register for a practice exam once you've signed up for the corresponding EC exam.
