Hey guys, I am applying to the LPN program at the Tennessee Tech center in Murfreesboro. Keep me updated on how your orientation and what not goes because I'm sure it's similar in Murfreesboro! Good luck!

mountaindewqueen i doubt it will i heard they go off your scores and references. and kclifton no problem i'll definitely let you know how things go. when does your program start?

Well, they are only accepting applications May 17-May 28, so I will apply then and the program starts like September 1, I think. I go to take the COMPASS test May 14. Any suggestions? Do you know which criteria they use to make the decisions about who gets in? I know I 've heard some people say that there are wait lists where they applied but I'm pretty positive that TTC Murfreesboro chooses students based on merit rather than first come, first serve.

The orientation/interview went great today!(TTC Nashville) 75% is your Compass Scores, 25% College Credits,Experience,etc. They said 75 spots are available for September classes. Clinicals will be held anywhere from Baptist to UMC in Lebanon to Hendersonville to Murfreesboro. Acceptance letters sent out by June 18. Interviews were really easy. We filled out a questionnaire and then the interviewers(which mostly weren't even LPN's) ask questions from that. It's like 6-8 in the room being interviewed separately. Total interview time for each person was under 5 mins a piece. Anyone else go today? Any questions? I still have the packet so I might be able to answer them. :nurse: OH Yea! New rules for clinicals. All females must wear the white hats!

Wow, 75% compass scores? How was the compass test? I have always been a good test taker and did good on my ACT, so hopefully it won't be so bad.. I'm nervous! I wonder if TTCMurfreesboro has all the same rules, like the white hats and what-not. I'm so nervous! I can't believe I CAN'T even put in my application until May 17. Ridiculous! Haha the anticipation is killing me and I haven't even applied yet.

yea the interviews went really quick. the orientation started at 130 and i was finished by 215. they only asked a few questions during the interview. they even opened a few spots for the may class which is real exciting!

Hey everyone!

What do yall think about the new uniforms that they will have students buy? Polos and kackis? I don't think I have ever seen any nursing students in anything but scrubs.

I just thought that was kind of different..

Wowww polos and khakis?! Really?! I agree that I haven't ever seen a nursing student in anything other than scrubs or the famous white dress. Crazy!
