CNA in Memphis

U.S.A. Tennessee

Published

I want to become a CNA. I live in Memphis and wonder if anybody can give me some good advice on some schools that offer this program.

Thanks

How often does NHC have their CNA program? I am interested in becoming a CNA and I am currently in nursing school but wanted some experience with being a CNA. I just started nursing school in the fall of 2010 so I have a ways to go but I am interested in finding out more about NHC.

what does the NHC specailly stand for ?

NHC's CNA classes are free. I completed the one in Franklin, TN this summer. At my facility, you are not required to work for them, but they do hire from the pool of students. The only cost associated with my class was the uniform and the book, which was only a deposit. The class was 2.5 weeks of classroom and clinical. I took my state exam today and should know Wednesday if I passed.

The NHC in Somerville is nice. I know the administrator and my great-aunt is a resident there. I grew up in Memphis and the commute isn't bad at all.

Good luck - I hope it works out for you!
