Hey!
I am currently obtaining my temporary license in another state, where I will be working this summer. I understand I will need my school to send a official transcript. But, there is one section that confuses me on the paperwork. The section is titled "original licensing authority." The section requires someone to fill out a section on my paperwork...Do I go to my state's board of nursing for this? Basically my question is, who is the "original licensing authority?"
Thanks!

Whatever state granted you your first RN license.

The state you're endorsing into, probably wants verification of your original state of licensure. What state are you trying to endorse into? There's usually a form associated with this, or you can go through Nursys depending on if the states both participate.
I'm obtaining a temporary license in PA. I live in OH.
I have the PDF form from the PA state board of nursing.

Most states participate in Nursys and you can do electronic verification for a fee.
