Letters for Fall 2011 ADN students were sent out yesterday, I'm assuming, as I received mine today. I live in Belton, one town away, so postage usually gets here the following day as sent. As to the difficulty of getting into the program, I would say it's pretty hard. I've busted my butt to stay competitive with the other applicants. I scored a 92 on my HESI. I have taken all my pre-reqs except Micro, which I am taking this summer, and I have a 3.8 GPA. I am considered "out-of-district" for tuition, but "in-district" for the nursing program itself. GPA counts for 5 points, TC service area residency counts for 1 point, HESI score counts for 3 points, and number of general education credits that apply to the ADN curriculum count for 3 points. I understand that their have been people in the past that have had higher HESI scores than mine and perfect GPA's and still not gotten in. If they take any other information into consideration, it is not advertised.
Does anyone know if you can apply for Temple college LVN program and the ADN program for the same year I am applying for both but of course the LVN letters will get to me before the ADN letters will but will I have enough time to deny the LVN if I get in to the ADN or not? I'm just curious on the time frames for everything I really want to get into the ADN program but I want to start next year so I'm going to apply for LVN program in case the ADN program say no
