Temple College ADN/LVN 2014

U.S.A. Texas

I noticed that there has not been a 2014 topic started yet for the Temple College nursing programs. I am getting nervous and want to know if there is anyone out there applying for the same year I am. I will be applying for the ADN and LVN program. So far I have all my pre and co-requisites completed with a 3.76 GPA. I will be taking my hesi test this October, and I also live IN-district. I am nervous and losing sleep over whether or not my scores will be good enough!

Hey ladies I called the nursing office Tuesday when spring semester started and I the lady let me know that they are trying to have the letters sent out by Feb 1st !! so hopefully by next week they will be in the mail =]

Wow, thanks for letting us know!

no problem! now im anxious. Im praying for this good news bc January has been horrible for me.

I am sorry to hear that things have not been well for you. Do you have your 2 classes and are you in-district? I can't wait any longer!!! My goal is to get accepted into the adn program, but I will happily accept the lvn. I wonder if they are mailing or e-mailing letters?

Im glad you called my now Im more nervous. by looking at last years stats, I figured they would put them out by the 7th..well, heres to crossing fingers and stalking the mailman, I emailed ..hmm..maybe a month ago wondering if they would want my transcripts from CNA school as addition to, and she said files were already complete so I was like, DANG..lol..so Im seriously thinking this waiting thing is to put some pressure on us- good luck to everyone, cocoa, you applied at Temple right? Not Taylor. And SUmmerblessing, I didnt realize till now you have to wait till March. Now I feel like a really impatient butt, you have to wait a little longer :( With the spring semester, I was hoping time would fly- in a way it has but it hasnt helped any with my nerves..ok well now Im chattering too much, Rowley, are you at Temple too..I noticed some were applying to temple and taylor. Well, good luck everyone, updates soon hopefully all good news :D

I live in Hutto, so I am sure if I get in, they would hopefully put me at Taylor. I think they choose where you go based on location, but I am not sure. Good luck to everyone

Yall only have a few days left!!!! How exciting! I remember when I applied to LVN school, my poor mailman thought I was nuts. I have tried to figure out why they make us wait so long since I applied back in 2007. It doesnt make any sense. Some people said it was cause they had to do background checks, but thats not true, cause when I got accepted, I had to pay for my own background check and go get fingerprinted. One of my friends who got accepted with me went the same time i did, and they found something on her record, and she got booted from the class, which allowed an alternate to come in. I just came to the conclusion that they do it to give us gray hair. lol Surely it doesnt take a whole month to pick the top candidates and the top alternates?!

Rant over.

But yes, AngPartridge, I still have over a month to wait for mine. She said they would get dropped in the mail the Friday before Spring Break, so Im hoping to get my letter by that Monday since I live in Temple... so, 37 days.

I cant wait to see the results for you guys! Your time is getting so close! :)

I am so nervous!!! Summerblessing, when you were accepted to the LVN program, what did your "stats" look like. Hesi, district point, etc. I just want to see if I even have a chance

I made an 86 on my hesi, I live in Temple, I had both of the "pre" req classes.. in fact those were the ONLY 2 classes I had at the time. I made A's in both of them. It wasn't till after I finished LVN school that I decided to take other classes. lol

My friend that went with me, had B's in the Pre-reqs, but had taken A&P1 already, on top of Intro to A&P. She also lived in Round Rock, and made an 82 on her Hesi, and she got accepted with me.

have faith :) Im sure you will get in! My best friend Launa is CURRENTLY in the LVN program. She made an 84 on the hesi, lives in Temple and had an A and a B in the pre req classes. She was originally chosen as "alternate" but got called 3 weeks before school started and told they had a seat for her.

Thank you for that information! It has taken some stress off of me. I made an 89 on my hesi, in district, and I have both classes. I am Hoping for good news. I am planning on re-taking my hesi to knock it up to an A for my application into the ADN program. I love this website and I am so glad everyone is staying in touch.

You are very welcome. I love this website too, although, I wish someone would make a post about other people bridging like me. lol I started one, but everyone who posted was going for ADN or LVN, not bridging. I know I am not the only one that applied! When I turned in my app to bridge, I was number 12, my friend went later and she was number 22. I'm totally nervous because the application period doesn't end till Feb 10, so there is still time for people with higher grades than me to apply. Bleh. I'm so ready for March to come on! I haven't been this nervous since I applied in 2007. Thankfully I have my best friend that applied with me and we are in the wait together.

But, I don't think you have anything to worry about! You will get in!

Well yall did better than me, im proud of my 82 hesi, Bs in the two classes but im also afraid it wont good enough. I loved this site once i started seeing others in the area haha. Hope we all get the news were wanting. And did you see Rowley91, on the temple site now, starting this year to apply to nursing programs is 80 now, not 70 so i plan too, to take hesi again before applying to ADN. You made a great score though. And summerblessing, im so glad you have your bff in your journey. Thats sweet. :) praying for good news for all of us
