hey everyone!!!
I am anxiously awaiting a reply from my school to know if i'm in or not. I've received an acceptance letter based on my GPA(3.519), completion of pre-reqs, recommendations, essay quality etc. with this i had to take the hesitest which i also did a few days ago, and passed.
does anyone think that official acceptance depends on gpa or the entrance test score, or yet, a combination of both. what do you think they are looking for?
Further, what about experience in the field? share your experiences while we wait.

I'm not sure what your question is since you say you have an acceptance letter which should mean that you're basically in. If this is a school that accepted you pending completion of your prerequisites then you would get an official acceptance if you've completed everything on their checklist with a C or better.
HI sunray!
I know it sounds confusing , but that's how it is. my school sends out a certain number of acceptance letters base on gpa above 2.5. after which you are still required to do the hesitest test, and then they still choose a certain number depends on the composite score. so that is the final acceptance letter--- is it clearer now?
as for me i have all my pre reqs done, but my question is; do you think that schools look at gpa or the score on the hesi entrance exam or both?
I am anxiously awaiting a reply

it i s not strange, they are weeding!!!
they have a list with an amount of points per example
10 points for gpa
10 points for pre requs
10 points for entrance test
10 points for essay
10 points for interview
10 being the max you could get in each category....
and then they will sum it all up
and you will have your acceptance score, which will grant you a spot!
3.5^ GPA + good Hesi score + above C on prereqs (B for sciences is a ++) will grant you a spot for sure!
Don't worry as long as you got over 75% on your hesi and did ok on your sciences, i think you are in!
lets wait and see!!!
Thanks for your encouraging words c santos!!!
hmm- I think i will be accepted based on what you mentioned, I do not have any C for any pre-reqs-- all A & B's -- MOST; A's in my sciences maths and english. I scored above 75 on the hesitest also. so i trust that i'm in. thank you very much for always assisting others. you will do well yourself!!!

Weeding isn't uncommon, but two acceptances is- wouldn't the first one be more of a recognition of meeting the application requirements? Invitation to apply?
