Tell me I'm not the only one obsessed?

I swear that is all I can think about lately is going to nursing school. I am so glad I have managed to juggle things so I can most likely go for the August term because I don't think I could hold out till Jan 04. Anyhow, just wondering if anyone else is like this? It's pitiful. I am pregnant due in April and I am more obsessed with going to nursing school than I am with a new baby. Granted this is my 5th so the enthusiasm is just not the same any more. Ok, who else is obsessed?

I remember before I started I felt the same way, especially because I was on a waiting list for the program. I called every day to see what number I was, I had to restrain myself from calling more than that! I don't know who was happier when I found out I had gotten in, me or the poor secretary who had to answer my calls every day! :chuckle

Don't worry, it wears off soon after you start!

In the meantime enjoy planning for your baby, even though you're a pro by now with 4 other kids! When you start school you'll wish for the time to think of something other than nursing! (I know, easier said than done!)

OOOHHH yes,

I can totally relate. I am so glad I found this site as I think my husband probably gets sick of hearing about it. I think I have read and read and read some more. I enjoy finding out about anything to do with nursing, from the textbooks we will use to what other's experiences have been. :eek:

I know once we are in and rolling we will long for the days that we were able to just sit here and browse.:chuckle

One of my best friends, who happens to be an RN, just mailed me a boatload of books, from NCLEX review books to guidelines for careplans, to drug handbooks...It feels sorta silly, but I am insanely focused on this.:chuckle

So glad I am not the only one!!

At home, work, school...thats all I talk about. I know my family can't wait for me to start(a few more weeks...Jan 03') They probally feel that I will be so busy that I will not have so much time to talk about it..... :o) Right now I am like dying because its so close and yet seems like so far away....Can't wait!!!!

I'm so glad I'm not alone in this. I'm excited, but so scared at the same time. Its so good to know that I can come here and vent, though. :)

You are not the only one obsessed. I am too!!! All I can thing of is work. I work a 13 hour shift tomorrow. I cant wait.:) I'm sure this will wear off for the both of us.

I was/am too :)

I love going to class and am on TOP OF THE WORLD when I drive home after 5 hours of lecture (yes a tad insane)

I love everything about it - yes it is tough... but to me it is AWESOME!!!!

And combining it with motherhood is the best!
