I went on a tour of Tuality and liked it very much! Adventist was clean however the people appeared cold. Please tell me more! Anyone work telemetry at St. Vincents?

haha tuality kind of has a bad rep, there sort of a small little hospital waay out there in hillsboro, I would not want to work there. St v's now your talking, I would consider it one of the better hospitals in the area, there a lot of hype about OHSU and legacy, but I think St. V's has a better community and is a very good hospital to work in. Ive never actually been to adventist, east side right?, I hear its good though, read an article about some of their more progressive nursing programs.

Good Sam has a great cardiac unit.
I agree with you, but at first I thought the people at Tuality were cold but they are just people and given a chance they were very nice.

Adventist is expanding the cardiac units, they are doing a huge addition to the hospital which is doubling the ED and then expanding the cardiac unit with the cath lab to be just off of the ED.

I work on St Vincents tele floor. I like it ok. Sure there are politics as with anywhere, but over all I am really happy. If you have any particular questions let me know....

Yes, yes we do. (OK, I'm biased.)
We have a great team, really good interaction/rapport with the docs and a kick butt manager. Our surgeons are really stepping into new areas like minimally invasive heart surgery and one EP doc is really stepping up his EP practice. Plus administration is really looking to turn us into a cardiac center for the Legacy system (like Emmanuel is to Trauma).

Why, thank you. I have to say that we have really grown and improved. Really invested in teamwork, improving pt outcomes, and are almost finished with a complete remodel of all cardiac inpatient care areas. Great place to work, but because of that, not many openings right at the moment. We hired a bunch, but haven't had much turnover. Keep your eyes open, and good luck no matter where you land.
I've worked at an Adventist hospital and am now gratefully working Oncology at Legacy. Now that times are tough I might slip in and apply for a perdiem stint a la Tele aux Adventist, n'est pas?!
Anyway, I am missing Tele...
I will be spending my time this weekend reviewing those rhythms, you know how easy they are to forget!
