Tele travel in Phoenix...

Published

I am traveling to Phoenix. My background is telemetry/tele step down. I'm wondering if anyone has any recomendations for the hospitals in the area...I'm looking at St. Joseph's, John C. Lincoln, BAnner Baywood, Banner Baywood heart hosp, Banner Good Sam, Scottsdale Osborn, Banner Thunderbird...anyone know anything about the hospital or the area the hospitals are in (i.e. is it safe?). I'm also looking for a good place to stay where other travelers in their 20's-30's would be living...possibly in Scottsdale. Any recomendations??

I used to live in Phoenix and all those hospitals are pretty good. I can't say a bad thing about any of them. My friend used to work tele at Osborn and liked it.

Scottsdale would be the best place to live in that area. When are you thinking of starting your travelling position there?

Specializes in tele, stepdown/PCU, med/surg.

I just accepted an offer to work on the med/surg/tele unit at JCL north mountain. I won't be there for a little while but it sounds good.

I will be starting 1/22/07. I accepted a position at Banner Thunderbird on one of the tele units. Do you know anything about the Glendale area? Is it as fun as Scottsdale? I'm looking for a young croud (late 20's-30's) and a fun nightlife. Would the commute from Scottsdale be best do you think, or is Glendale fun too?

Hi Zacarias

Do you still work in JCL North Mountain med/surg telemetry? I might be

joining sometime next year and would like to know more about the unit.

Thank you

Shortie

This thread is more than a year old, so the chances of that person being on that unit as a travel nurse is almost impossible.

You may wish to check out the AZ forum for specifics on the area.
