Hello all! I'm in an IT class doing a research paper on the subject of my choice (relating to technology of course) anyhow, I was wondering if any of you out there have come across some good articles talking about how technology has bettered patient care or anything along those lines. Please let me know!

By far, the Internet is the best technological tool that's improved patient care, IMO.
Maybe you could Google virtual OR or how the Internet has changed medicine. It's nothing short of amazing.

The downside is, lay people are using the internet for info rather than seeking help in some cases. This can be dangerous. That is why I personally never point people to medical or nursing sites for information (always trying to mitigate liability as a nurse I guess). Sometimes, there is NO replacing a physical exam and the words of one's health care provider as to what is best for him or her.
