Does it matter where you get your ADN? Do hospitals care where an RN received his/her education? I am thinking as long as you pass boards it doesn't matter where you were trained.
The waitlist at the local CC is so long here just like everywhere else but, there is a tech school here that offers an ASN in 15 months and I don't think there is waiting list.
What do you think? Should I go for it? I know that the tech school will be much more expensive than the community college but the way I figure I will be working sooner so it will wash.
I just don't want to send the money or the time if I can't find a job.
Thank you!

Is that an ADN/ASN in 15 months with pre-reqs and co-reqs???? Is so that is going to be VERY condensed. The shortest ADN program I have heard of is 18 months of clinicals. But of course the pre-reqs were not part of this time frame, so it is actually 21 months.

I am not sure if the 15 months includes pre-reqs. ( I would think that it wouldn't) I haven't checked into it to much yet. Before I even check into it I want to make sure that getting a degree from a tech school will not exclude some hospitals from hiring me.

Kimberly,
Also make sure to check if your tech school ADN is allowed for RN-BSN programs. You may not be thinking about a BSN now, but if you do in the future you want to make sure that your classes can transfer.
Best of luck to you!
