TEAS Versus NLN entrance exams

Published

Hi

O.K. so I ordered the TEAS study guide and got it last month and have been reviewing it occationally until it's time for me to take the test. HOWEVER, the nursing department said they just changed the entrance exam from the TEAS to the "NLN entrance exam".

My question is-does anyone know if this NLN exam is more difficult, Same or Easier than the TEAS??? I was already nervous about this darn TEAS exam to begin with and now they go a switch it on me.

Please let me know

Thanks

Any answer you get will be subjective.

Just get the NLN study guide and absorb as much as you can from it.

my school is the opposite, they just switched from the NLN to the TEAS. i took the NLN before and did ok on it. the only part that i find to be hard is the verbal portion of the test. they give you a word that's out of this world that you have never heard of before and you have to guess what it means. other than that, its not too bad

whats up with all these schools switching the test on us...so unfair. my school switched from the NET to the TEAS. i have been studying for the NET for many months now and now all my studying time has been wasted.

but reading from the posts on here the TEAS seem to be much easier than the NET. i hope they are right. cuz i am so upset with my school right now.

what's the format of the TEAS? For the NLN for RN because I know there is one for LPN/LVN, there is 60min of verbal for 80quest, 45min of math for 54 quest, and 60min of science for 80quest. All I can tell you is study the material as much as you can. For verbal, you have vocabulary and reading comprehension. For science, you are tested on biology, a/p, chemistry, physics, and micro. For math, you are tested on arithmetric, algebra, geometry.
