I just took the test today and the science was very difficult for me. I spent lots of time studying everything in the ATI study guide and that certainly wasn't enough for me to do above average. I recommended to anyone taking it to go online and study the topics in the manual in much greater detail, as most of the questions required critical thinking. For students who are fresh out of micro and chemistry it will likely be much easier. For the rest of us, the manual is much too vague for the questions asked, IMHO.
I agree the official TEAS study book isn't very in depth. I found the science section easy and scored well but all of my science classes except chemistry were very recent. If you haven't had those (or you took them several years ago) I do think a refresher on Khan academy is really helpful. I hadn't taken chemistry in over 10 years so I watched a few videos and I scored well on those questions.
I just saw your mnemonic for non-visible light and I actually made up a silly saying to help me remember for the test too. "Great Xylophones Unite Very Impaired Musical Rejects" Gamma X-ray, Ultra Violet, Visible light, Infrared, Microwave, Radio. Hope this can help others![/quote']This wasn't even covered on my test, but will put this in the memory bank, lol.
Hey guys!!
I'm in the process of studying for the TEAS V test now and I wanted to share with you some resources I have found for good online practice to help you get the hang of practice questions so you'll be more prepared and less nervous on test day.
Good Luck to you all. Stay focused, study hard, don't give up.

Okay can anyone answer this question?? I have read and have been told that what is on the ATI V study guide doed not cover what is on the real exam?? That there is information that was NOT covered on ATI, so I dont want to have to study info that I dont need to study, but anyone else have heard this?? How are you studying the science portion??
