My 2 nursing school choices are TWU and UT Houston. One requires the HESI A2 and the other requires the TEAS V. If I where to study HESI material should I still be able to use the same knowledge on the TEAS and vise versa? I guess I'm asking what are the main differences between the 2, not which is harder/easier, I believe that would vary from person to person. I'm just interested in the differences. Thank Y'all and God Bless!

Everyone at my school has told me the TEAS is harder and you need to study for both.

Hesi you are allow to use calculator, but the teas you cannot. The hesi has a lot questions of anatomy, and is more like critical thinking. I took the hesi, and it was a lot of simple questions that I did not know. I was expecting something also... I study the kreb cycle, catalysts and all that difficult stuff for nothing because many of my questions were about arteries and about the menstrual cycle, things like that. Now that I think the hesi is not hard, but the killer of the test or any test is the time. Hesi you have like 50 questions on math, and I spent like one hour doing math and with the used of a calculator. Study, study vocabulary this section is something also, there were many words that I did know anything about their significance. Reading is ok, and grammar know about the apostrophies.
