hi

i am taking the teas test feb.25, 2008 at ivy tech.

does anyone have any advice for me?

~thanks~

hi sacstate2010 i was just wondering what did you answer to this question that was posted on the other forum?

"Hi sacstate, seems like we had the same test. I will have to retake it again. Had an 86.2% on the real thing. I thought the book helped quite a bit for the maths and eng. The science is a different story--it's all over the place. Though, the online practice was close. Got questions for the science part. How did you manage with the translation for the mRNA code, Genetic q was kind of weird, with the punnet sq & answer choices, the book didn't have anything like those types of q for practice. The experiment with 50ml in 3 different materials, how did you answer that? How about the bk on the table? The q on the wheelchair was tricky. Thought it was about friction, will you increase or decrease friction. Will you increase distance/length or increase distance? How about the wave q. Never had a physics class. Do you think energy or force is related? Got more q's. Please send me a pm. Could really use some help! Thanks"

i'm taking my teas tom. i just need some help about it. thankss a lot

hey, i think i got the same test you got and those were probably all the ones that i answered wrong. ihave no idea ...congrats on ur score of 86.2.. ill be satisfied with that grade.. :D im taking it again tomorrow. i think tomorrow is my last chance to try to raise my overall score. :( anybody got any tips, advice, etc etc.. thanks everyone..wish me luck...

Hi, if you took it twice, you should remember some of the ?. Just study those topics, that's how I did it. The book didn't help me on the science portion. After I came back after the first test, I researched all over the net those topics and that's how I implroved for the second time. I missed only 1 qestion and it was about eliptical rotation. I answered that earth rotates around the sun because of it's gravity and it's true, but there was a better answer and I missed that. I still don't know the answer, but there was something about the angle and I think that was the one. You can ask a question that you still remember and I help you with that. Science portion has 30 ? do you remember any of that and which one you need help on?

hi nervous nursey2b!

i just took the teas last week & got an 87% -- i had only studied for about 2 1/2 weeks prior. the science section is completely random, i pretty much just winged it. as for the reading, math and language sections - i used the teas study guide, sold on the ati website & found it very useful.

best wishes to you!

Hey SACSTATE or anyone else , do you think you could email me some of the questions to help me out? I am horrible at these types of tests and i need all the help i can get =) thanks so much

I would suggest reading through the pages in this thread. There is also a shorter 7 page thread on the TEAS located here:

These two threads will provide lots of helpful info. Post again if you have any specific questions.

Hi do they allow calculators in the TEAS ?

Hi do they allow calculators in the TEAS ?

No calculators allowed but you wouldn't really need one.
