Hey everyone..I'm taking the TEAS tomorrow morning and was wondering if anyone could give me some ideas of the types of questions that are on the science section. I took the online assessment and some of the questions weren't in the study guide, so I'm a little nervous to say the least! I have posted on the the other TEAS thread, but thought I would start a new thread limited to science questions. If anyone has taken the test recently I would appreciate any help! Thanks!

I was disappointed in the science section, they only asked about two questions on A&P, one question on physics and one or 2 on chem. The rest were all on stuff that I learned in high school (but mostly forgot about) like precipitation/rain fall, different types of clouds; tectonic plates/earthquakes, earths lays, plant scince...stuff like that.

I took it yesterday and did really well on all of the sections except for the science. I am going to have to re-take it later. It asks a lot of questions on how you would do a certain type of experiment, or for example, if someone is trying to push a huge block what do they have to over-come to move it? Just the weight of the block, the weight of the block plus friction, the weight of the block plus their own body weight, and I forget what the fourth option was.
I hated the science portion because most of it didn't seem to have much to do with what you would use as a nurse. Only two A & P questions.
Study biomass pyramids and food webs, also had a chemistry question about valence electrons and how carbon can bind to other elements.
Does anyone know of another book besides the TEAS study guide that helped them pass the test? I'm thinking of getting one before my re-take.

ahhh man I just got my TEAS study guide in the mail the other day your making me so sad.
did you use the online assement as well? it cost extra I bought it lol but I haven't even looked at it yet. I won't have to take this until January but wanted to study up on my English.
Yes, I bought the on-line questions too and I was really glad that I did.
The study guide was helpful, but I didn't think it delved deep enough. After I get another book to help I'll let you know if it worked. My re-take is on July 11th.
