i am suppose to take the teas test in two wks and have been studying the book that i bought from ATI. i am totally overwhelmed by the math metric conversions, formulas for radius, perimeter, circum etc and am wondering if i have to memorize all this or if it is given. i am 47 and have been out of school a long time, except for the science prereqs i have been taking, and there is absolutely no way i am going to get all this. and then all the grammer and punctuation. i have totally psyched myself out that i wont make a good score. has anyone taken it and can you give me any tips or advise about what to expect?
for the metric conversions they do not offer you a chart right you must memorize it yourself? i am now worried about the sentence structure and need to brush up on those. for the a&p questions were there more then 10 questions and it was mainly respiratory and digestive? how was the chemistry portion?
all of the questions were mixed up together, so i really cant say how many were on it.
i think this thread has people who talk about the math and chemistry portion more:

Lavender, you did great on your test, congrats!
I just found out that the average TEAS score was 84, for accepted students at my school. I am kind of freaking out over that, because I have not taken Chemistry, Physiology or Human Anatomy yet (doing so this fall and Spring). I am concerned that my science score is going to really make things difficult for me :) I have been studying for the past week, but one can only learn so much about Physics, Chemistry, A&P and Biology in that amount of time.
I just took the test today. What I will say is that if it is in the ATI book, you should probably know it. It is impossible to say which questions you will get (every test is different), but its all fair game, kwim? The only thing that was on the test that was not in the book was the F to C conversion - F=(1.8 x C) + 32.
Also, the chemistry questions on my test were wack man! I had no clue :) I knew all kinds of things that were in the ATI book, but those were not on my test, haha.
Good luck!
There were just general word problems such as: Billy makes bread that serves 50 people using 3 cups of flour. Each bag of flour holds 5 cups. How many bags of flour will he need to make a cake that serves 450 people?
Etc.,
You could go to a bookstore and browse through the Kaplan Nursing School Entrance Exam (or similar) math section to get a better idea?
IMO, the ATI book was complete and cheap. There weren't many practice questions though, so the Kaplan book was also good for additional problems, practice tests, etc.
