Hi all,

I'm planning on taking the teas in a few weeks and wondering how detailed the science portion is. I know I need to have a solid understanding of all the systems and how they work but do I need to know names of all the nerves, veins/arteries, the different layers (example: epicardium, myocardium...)?

Thanks!

The science section can vary in all honesty. It can be very general to specific. But, to answer your question yes it can have questions asking you to identify such things as blood vessels or tissue layers, but not so much the nerves (imo).  Also, keep in mind the science section isn't limited to A&P, so be sure to brush up on your biology and chemistry if you haven't done so already.

In terms of A&P, I watched videos on YouTube covering all 11 systems to refresh my memory, starting from my weakest to strongest. Helped me big time.

Good luck!!

I agree with the post above, some questions are really broad, like the parts of a neuron. For cardio vascular system, I didn't get any questions about specific blood vessels, but make sure to know hemostasis (body's response to broken or damaged blood vessels), I got atleast 2 questions on that. For more information, look at my post! I just took the Teas.

Best of luck to anyone who is taking the TEAS!
