My friend has to take the TEAS test for one of the colleges she is applying for but we can't find a study guide for it at any of the local bookstores. In fact they don't have study guides for the TEAS, HESI, PAX, or the NET. :sasq: Does anyone have any recommendations on a study guide? She takes her test on Feb. 22 I believe.

I got one from ATI's website but I felt like it was way harder than the actual TEAS. You can also purchase the study guide with 2 on-line practice exams.

How did you feel the online practice tests compared to the actual test? I found/find the book tests harder than the online practice, because the book covered so much more and had more word problems for the math. The online test seemed more basic. How do they compare to the real deal?
The online test was much easier, however it is just a sample of how the test was set up and how the questions are formated.
The TEAS is timed and that is sort of what makes it so hard, especially the math portion, you have to be able to do a lot of arithmatic very quickly, many problems have several different steps you will need to do and its about 2minutes per problem, many people don't finish the math portion. It isn't hard math just a lot to it. Science is difficult only because many of us have not had all the types of sciences being tested on ex phsyics, earth science etc... I had earth science in 8th grade and I am nearly 40 years old so didn't remember much, the Book helped though and I scored a 90 on the science portion, considering the national average was 67 I felt pretty good with that hahaha.
So yes the book is hard but it will prepare you, I would rather have a hard study guide then easy any day.
I scored 10% lower on the on-line practice (after using study guide) than I did when I took it at the college (with no studying & no pre-reqs yet).
