TEAS NASSAU CC

Anyone out there applying for Fall 2014, at nassau cc. just wondering if anyone was accepted yet and how they did with the TEAS. I have a 3.5 gpa and scored proficient on the TEAS but the science portion was a disaster for me , never took a chemistry class so I was real lost

The letters were sent out this morning 4/23/14. I was told that they were not emailing the decisions.

I heard the letters were printed Monday and today when I asked they said "They're in the mail." There's nothing in my email or on my transcript. :( Has anyone received a letter yet????

Thanks for letting me know they're not emailing decisions. I'll stop stalking my email inbox now. How did you do on the TEAS? I got 69.5. I am hoping that'll do it!!

Has anyone taken the joint admission to Farmingdale? I am sitting on pins and needles waiting to hear if I got accepted to NCC nursing program and I'm curious how many people are invited to the joint admissions.

I'm not sure of the weight of the teas compared to the Pre req gpa, but I'm tring to figure out the ten points for nassau resident. Ten points added to what value?

The TEAS and pre req GPA are weighed 50/50, but you get 10 extra points for living on long island. Depends on the application pool as well. some have been accepted already

In one of the information sessions they said the point value was 110. They never elaborated as to how those points added up though. I'm a resident of Queens and I do remember them saying that they will deduct 10 points off my total. I imagine the rest of the points are the TEAS score and then our GPA, possible points for having all the other classes done with the exception of the nursing classes? Has any one received a letter yet?

I met a classmate today and she told me that she got denied via email. i came home and checked my gmail and got ACCEPTED.

A&P1 B+, Statistic B, Eng 101 B, Psy B+. Teas 78. God is amazing! If i had listened to others, i would never applied (every case is different).

I didn't get any email... any chance it shows up in your NCC registration account? Maybe under "Student Information?" Or some where else. I wonder if my application was lost!

thats amazing!!!! congrats!!! I'm praying on my acceptance letter. i live in queens so either way it'll take some time. That's so true, i know i have friends and coworkers who tried to talk me down but i really want to be a nurse!!! i hope i can soon share in the joy with you! GOD IS GOOD!
