Nycguy is def right, if you can get per diem gig it would give a lot of flexibility for school. But don't be worried about not knowing what to do none of us will, gotta start somewhere.

I'd recommend it, I took a CNA, phlebotomy, EKG course and got hired at mt. Sinai hospital as patient care tech, the experience is ppriceless , as well as having a big foot in the door when I get that RN. and on top of that its not a bad job, pays well and is union, I would do it.

Got my letter yesterday , I'm in !!!! . I was at work and my roommate texted me that the letter showed. I couldn't finish my shift with the suspense so I asked him to open it take a pic and send it back. When I received the good news , shots were poured. :)

Got my letter today, Accepted!!! So excited !!! Can't wait to meet you all

Hey dada27 congrats on the acceptance were you a nassau resident too? My grades and teas are similar to yours and I did all my Pre req at ncc and am a nassau resident

I'm not sure of the weight of the teas compared to the Pre req gpa, but I'm tring to figure out the ten points for nassau resident. Ten points added to what value?

Do they factor in those other courses for gpa? Or just the four Pre reqs?. I took sociology was pretty easy.

Yea I agree ! They should have accepted us first then asked if we would prefer night or day. Are you going to try any co requisites this summer? I'm thinking about knocking out that medical micro or a&p 2

Im not sure how they are basing there decisons but id imagine the gpa has more weight than the teas. You def shouldn't have anything to worry about, those are impressive scores. I didn't study much for the TEAS and should have the science was tough for me because I never took chemistry. I applied for the day. Best of luck

Anyone out there applying for Fall 2014, at nassau cc. just wondering if anyone was accepted yet and how they did with the TEAS. I have a 3.5 gpa and scored proficient on the TEAS but the science portion was a disaster for me , never took a chemistry class so I was real lost
